Fashion Shoot with Nico Santos – The sense of home: created through Architecture, Atmosphere, and Authenticity

Nico Santos Werle Wagner Architects Mallorca

When music, photography, and architecture come together in the right place: We recently had the chance to experience exactly that during a fashion shoot with musician Nico Santos in Mallorca – a creative production shaped not only by vision and styling, but also by architecture and setting.

WERLE + WAGNER was involved from the earliest planning phase: curating the location, advising on architectural context, and supporting the production to create a space that resonates. The result speaks for itself – the main image from the shoot was selected as the cover for Nico Santos’ new single "Home Pt. 2". A visual that carries both intimacy and openness, grounded in the space where it was captured.

The House – 70s Architecture with Soul

The shoot took place in a remarkable architect’s villa located in a small coastal town just 10 minutes east of Palma de Mallorca. Built in the late 1970s, the house was considered pioneering for its time: with a cubist design language, a modern, open floor plan, bright interiors, and expansive terraces that extend toward the sea.

Over the decades, the house has developed a strong and quiet character. There’s a texture to the materials, a subtle aging of surfaces, and a garden that has grown naturally, slowly blending into the architecture. This relationship between structure and nature created a powerful energy on set – raw, timeless, and poetic.

Set directly on a rocky cliff, the villa opens to an uninterrupted view of the Mediterranean and offers distant sightlines toward Palma’s coastline. It's this constant presence of the sea – always changing, always present – that gives the house its unmistakable calm and strength.

Curating Atmosphere – When Space Becomes Story

This was more than a shoot. It was a dialogue between space and story, between the emotion of a song and the atmosphere of a place. As architectural designers, we often say that spaces shape the way we feel – and in this case, it became tangibly true. The house was not just a backdrop but a co-creator of mood, emotion, and narrative.

At WERLE + WAGNER, we are passionate about these intersections – where architecture meets art, where place becomes part of the creative process. Whether in building projects or creative productions, we strive to curate authenticity and reveal the soul of each location.

WERLE + WAGNER – Architecture Beyond Form

We see our role not only in designing architecture, but in creating meaningful spatial experiences. Sometimes that means reinterpreting historic structures. Sometimes it means bringing out the quiet charisma of a forgotten villa. And sometimes – like here – it means helping a place speak in the language of a unique story.

WERLE + WAGNER is an architecture and design studio based in Mallorca. We collaborate with creatives across Europe to shape places with identity, clarity, and depth.
